Adult Assessments at WPS

Adult psychological assessments help provide insight into various aspects of an individuals personality, cognitive abilities and overall functioning. Psychological assessments provide person-centered support by identifying ways people think, feel, behave and react. This will overall provide awareness for the individual and allow the psychologist to provide ongoing strategies and recommendations.

Our psychologists are trained and experienced in conducting the below assessments:

Cognitive Assessments

Cognitive Assessments help identify declines in cognition and whether someone has impairments in learning capabilities, also known as cognitive impairment. Cognitive Assessments can help detect both strengths and weaknesses in cognitive capabilities as well as providing recommendations and effective strategies to help support the individual. Symptoms in cognitive impairments may include:

  • Difficulty recalling events or forgetting things often

  • Losing your train of thought

  • Difficulty in communicating with others

  • Finding it hard to make decisions, finish a task or follow instructions
